John Muir Trail-High Sierra Panorama Map

The JMT is named after the truly remarkable and one of a kind "Father of the National Parks", John Muir. The JMT is found in the High Sierras of California and they didn't earn the name "High" for no reason!

Dubbed "America's Most Famous Trail" - It's lowest point can be found at Happy Isles in Yosemite Valley at 4,040 ft. while it's highest point is Mt. Whitney at a staggering 14,505 ft and never drops below 7,000ft.
