Arctic 1598 Antique Map Reproduction

This is an antique map reprint showing the North polar region as drawn by the Dutch explorer Willem Barentsz during his quests to find a northeast passage to Asia. He discovered Spitsbergen and was the first to map Novaya Zemlya. The map includes the Canadian Artic, Greenland, Iceland, Scandinavia, and much of northern Russia. Plus sea monsters, polar bears, and three different compass roses that seem to point in different directions.
